Surrendering to Jesus
Surrendering to Jesus
Every Story of Transformation Begins With an Encounter
The stories you’ve seen on this site all have something in common. At some point, each person reached the end of themselves.
Some were trapped in addiction. Some carried years of shame or fear. Others felt lost, searching for identity and meaning.
One of the men whose story you may have watched is Nazar.
After a devastating motorbike accident, his life began to unravel. The weight of pain and despair grew so heavy that he found himself on the edge of giving up completely.
And in that moment, something unexpected happened. He heard the voice of the Lord calling him.
Everything changed when he surrendered.
The same turning point appears again and again in these stories. Not perfection. Not religion. Surrender.
A moment when someone lays down control and encounters the love and truth of Jesus.
If something in you is responding as you read this, you don’t have to wait until the end.
Created for Relationship
The Bible tells us that God created the world good.
He created humanity in His image and designed us for relationship with Him — not out of obligation, but out of love — to know Him, walk with Him, and steward life under His authority.
But humanity chose independence from God instead of trusting Him. The Bible calls this sin.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23 (NIV)
This separation has consequences.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23 (NIV)
Sin leads to spiritual death — life disconnected from the God who made us.
But God did not leave us there.

God Came Looking for Us
God entered the human story through Jesus Christ.
Jesus was born into the world as a human being, yet lived without sin. Through His life He revealed what God is really like — full of truth, compassion, mercy, and love.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 (NIV)

This love was not given when we had everything together.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (NIV)
Jesus willingly went to the cross, taking upon Himself the consequences of our sin and separation from God.
This was not just an act of sacrifice — it was an expression of God’s love for you.
You don’t need to clean yourself up before coming to Him.
He came to you first.
But the story did not end at the cross.
Three days later, Jesus rose from the grave.
The Power of the Resurrection
The resurrection of Jesus is not just proof of who He is.
It is the moment when sin, death, and the power of the enemy were defeated.
“I also pray that you may know… his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead.”
Ephesians 1:19–20 (NIV)
Jesus now reigns as Lord.
And those who follow Him are invited into that victory — into a life where freedom, healing, and transformation are possible through Him.
This is why the stories on this site are filled with real change — because the power of God is still at work today.
More Than A Saviour - Jesus as Lord
Many people want Jesus to rescue them from their problems. But the invitation of the Gospel goes deeper than that.
Jesus calls us to surrender our lives to Him.
To follow Jesus means turning around — a complete change of direction. The Bible calls this repentance.
It means laying down control and choosing to follow Him as Lord. Surrender is dying to yourself and placing your life into the hands of a God who loves you.
This might feel like a big step.
But you are not being asked to have everything figured out — only to respond to the One who loves you.
This Is Not About Religion
Following Jesus is not about becoming religious or trying to behave better.
The transformation you see in these stories did not come from religion.
It came from encountering the living God.
Jesus describes this invitation in a very personal way:
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
Revelation 3:20 (NIV)
Jesus does’t force His way into our lives. He invites us to open the door.
You Can Come To God As You Are
You Can Come to God As You Are
One of the biggest questions people carry is this:
“Could God really forgive me?”
Some people feel that because of things they’ve done.
Others feel it because they’ve tried to live a “good life” — but still sense something is missing.
The Bible tells us that all of us have fallen short of God’s perfect standard.
It’s not just about obvious mistakes or failures — it’s the reality that, on our own, we’ve all lived independently from God.
But the message of Jesus is not condemnation.
It is invitation.
Jesus told a story about a son who walked away from his father, made destructive choices, and ended up completely lost. When he finally turned back and came home, he expected rejection.
Instead, his father ran to meet him, embraced him, and welcomed him home.
(See Luke 15:11–32)
This is the heart of God — not rejection, but love that welcomes you home.
This is more than forgiveness.
It is an invitation into relationship.
“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
John 1:12 (NIV)
When you come to Jesus, you are not just forgiven — you are brought into God’s family.
You become His son or daughter.
“The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’”
Romans 8:15 (NIV)
This is the kind of relationship God is inviting you into.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9 (NIV)
God is not distant or reluctant.
He is ready to forgive, restore, and make us new.
“As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”
Psalm 103:12 (NIV)
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 8:1 (NIV)
You are not invited back with shame — you are welcomed into freedom.
Whether you feel far from God, or simply know something is missing — you can come to Him.
And when you do, you don’t just receive forgiveness — you begin a new life with Him.
A Personal God
God is not an idea, and He is not distant.
He is personal. He knows you, sees you, and loves you.
He is not far away or silent — He speaks, He draws near, and He meets people where they are.
This is what many of the stories on this site reveal — moments where God speaks, draws near, and changes lives.
Jesus describes this invitation in a simple and powerful way:
This is not about becoming religious. It is about opening your life to Him.
Responding to Jesus
The Bible describes this step of faith simply:
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9 (NIV)
You don’t need to understand everything to take this step.
You are responding to the love of God, not trying to earn it.
If you want to give your life to Jesus, you can do that right now.
A Prayer of Surrender
Dear Jesus,
I believe you are the Son of God.
I believe you died for my sins and rose again.Today I surrender my life to you.
My life is no longer my own — I give it to you.Forgive my sins, make me new,
and fill me with your Holy Spirit.I choose to follow you as my Lord.
Lead me, teach me, and transform my life.Amen.
Not sure yet?
You can talk with someone who will listen and walk with you.
A New Life Begins
When you surrender your life to Jesus, you are not left to figure it out on your own.
Jesus promised the gift of the Holy Spirit — God’s presence living within you — to lead you, transform you, and empower you to live this new life.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…”
Acts 1:8 (NIV)
This is not just a new belief.
It is a new life.
Where To From Here?
One of the most important things to understand is what God is really like — and who you are in relationship to Him.

Many people carry distorted pictures of God — distant, harsh, or disappointed.
But Jesus came to reveal the heart of the Father.
The same Father who welcomes the lost, restores identity, and brings us into His family.

And as you begin this new life, it’s just as important to understand how God now sees you.
You are not defined by your past, your mistakes, or your circumstances.
You are a son or daughter — brought into relationship with Him.
